In the manga Wolfwood is Chapel the Evergreen instead of having the guy from the show and there's a lost 13th Gung-ho Gun named Eliendra the Crimsonnail... He's a very freaky cross-dresser who is the same rank as Legato.

no problem. if you can't find the original Trigun Maximum mangas now, I'd suggest getting them when they come out in english. I know the first three books Trigun are licesned but I'm not sure about Trigun Maximum.

The manga is really in depth, even though it sometimes lacks in art quality... It sounds strange, but when reading the manga you can kinda feel the power Knives radiates, where as he's barely around in the show.

Favorite Gung-Ho Gun: Monev The Gale

Nobody's gotten to Vash like he has. That and his weapons were just damn cool.

What about Legato? I'd say he "got to Vash" more than any of the others. I mean . . . *SPOILERS* (heh, as if there haven't already been enough)

I mean, Legato forced Vash to actually kill someone. He forced Vash to break the promise he made: the thing which was most important to him. Not to mention all the crap Legato put him through before he got to that point. He killed entire towns just to prove a point: that life is suffering, and he was going to make Vash suffer the most of all. And for awhile at least, he succeeded.
Who knows what fires burn in the souls of others, or what burdens weigh upon their hearts?
