I dunno, I haven't actually seen Wolf's Rain in any form. My question, though, is if the aforementioned flashback episodes help to explain the story at all (like a flashback episode is supposed to do, a la Evangelion's episode 21 explaining the origins of NERV...seriously, it DID have a point), or if it's just a pointless clip-show episode (like Gundam Wing episode 25...at least I think it's 25).

As far as Black Monarch goes, you, my dear friend, are a complete idiot. If you've read ANY of Omni's Eva ranting, you would know that he fully understands what he was talking about. He's just pissed off about certain aspects of Eva (namely the ending...which I'll admit I would've done differently, but I still think it was handled pretty well). I happen to be an Evangelion fan, but I still respect Omni's opinion. You should try it sometime. Might make you at least look a little less stupid.

Eva threw itself out the window, no contest. Eva sucked because of its ending... er, the first one anyway... I still haven't seen EoE. Both "TV endings" were crap, even though the second was a huge improvement over the first.
I'm dissapointed to hear that WR has gone down the same path of crap. I was really enjoying that series (even though I haven't gotten far).

no .. most of the flashbacks .. (theirs 3 straight episodes so far) are pointless .. you learn a little bit more of each charecter, and the third flashback is done well (it takes a deeper look in the human's emotions) the rest of the 3 episodes in tottal are just the same rehashes of what happened, varied slightly through each of their views, nothing really different (the black mark on a damn good series though, i still strongly advice watching it, even the 1st ep or 2 to see if you like it)

My guess is that you like DBZ too since you're into that senseless sort of thing... DBZ Otaku also have a tendency to insult others thinking they're high and mighty since they're anime characters are stronger, smellier and uglier than all the other anime released... ^_^

Omni: I guess you haven't read that often, but most of his posts...they're always something like "Rei is the greatest character ever. WHINE WHINE why don't people agree?" "You like character X? What's wrong with you?", "Asuka and Shinji romance? Oh yeah right, I wanted to see Rei and Shinji", "You don't agree with my very narrow view of evangelion (mostly based on how Rei is so great and has emotion)? Then you suck" and so on...notice a trend with Rei?

Have you also noticed that for the most part people tend to ignore his responses? Given, I'm being fairly mean here and I do admit that, but at the same time, I am sort of getting sick of his personal attacks (in particular to someone that is a friend) and his narrow views. I guess I'm just in a pissy mood.

Oh well...I can already see his response coming (ducks)

May I also add that HE (Monarch) obviously doesn't understand Evangelion as well as he thinks he does if he's such a die-hard Rei/Shinji freak? Either that or he's a psycho who gets off on incest
