Unless you held canadien citizenship while you were in school that line didn't really apply to you ... but i wouldn't doubt it that your a "splendiferous" engineer.dwchang wrote:Yeah they sure do...they got me. Ah times have changed. Back when I was in High School Eva hadn't even been concieved, Akira had barely been released to VHS, and most anime tapes ran $45 a pop. A well...dwchang wrote:In my Japanese class in HS, we watched....Akira, My Neighbor Totoro, Ah! My Goddess OVA, Doraemon and probably some more anime. The only reason she let us watch Akira is because she thought it had a good message underneath it (that of science and boundaries). It was good that a lot of us liked anime and suggested things (like Akira).
Although not during my years of HS, my Sophmore English Teacher showed the entire Evangelion TV series for a few weeks. NO JOKE! It's even cooler since I introduced the show to my friend who in turn suggested it to the teacher and thus concluded with an entire English class watching. It sure did make me feel good about myself
yea, it makes for interesting situations when i have to read something to somone ... i should work on it, but i gave up on that and just try to avoid reading out loud. It makes me very nervous.dwchang wrote:You should work on thatpropyro wrote: meh, thats a habbit of mine ... when i'm quickly reading over something i usualy read only what i want to see and not actualy whats there ... big problem when i have to read out loud in class ...
Meant it in a..Naga from Slayers sort of way. The "Oh ho ho ho" laugh is in a lot of animes and is a stereotypical arrogant female japanese laugh.dwchang wrote:Propyro wrote:lol santa clause ... are you going to bring me any thing next year?
