I haven't seen the ones you say are ruined by it and I probably won't on your advice, but I'm sure they can overdo it and I'm also sure there are those who buy it just for that fact.
I didn't say they were ruined by it, just didn't explore the story enough. In fact, I think many people have ignored these shows becuase they thought they were only pointless wastes of time. Now, your opinion may differ from mine, but you should at least give these shows a chance.
Basically, I think the writers did think it would do good, so they stuck fanservice in. I don't object, I just wish they'd do more, to explore the possibilities they set up, ready to go, but never did it.
Of the three, Cosplay Complex was teh most fanservice dependant. Without it, there wouldn't be much to the show. Not that that's bad, the show is still funny, it's just ti doesn't have much to support itself.
Now, Jungle de Ikou was different. It had an interesting story, wacky, fun characters, and some laugh out loud funny gags. I would recomend this title, just be a little open about it. It's sad that it ended the way it did, cause I could really see this turn into a funny TV series, and in today's anime market, I don't see why not. Also, in case you don't know, Megumi Hayashibara does the voice of Ongo. I'm sure most people are already familiar with her as being the VA for female Ranma, Lina Inverse of Slayers, and Megu of Tenshi Na Konamaiki.
Finally, Amazing Nurse Nanako was a bit of a paradox. On one side, yes it was a bunch of bouncing boobs and panty shots, but on the other it was an interesting, thought provoking sometimes sad story. Some people already criticized me for expecting so much from a so called "fan-service show", but I wasn't expecting that. What I really was expecting (yes I admit) was a funny, fan service show. And well, that was half true, but like I said there's also a bit deeper side, something many people weren't expecting so they simply ignored it. I don't think Nanako would fair well as a tv series, but I would like to see at least another season to better help wrap things up.
