Well...to date only seen one person on the org who's heard of this, so I figured 'Why not see if anyone else has as well?'

So, basically, for those confused ATM...

Ideon was a mecha series made back in the 80s by Yoshiyuki Tomino (Mobile Suit Gundam, Aura Battler Dunbine, Brain Powerd)
Considered the height of his 'Kill-em-all' phase, the show actually sports some pretty interesting stuff (from what I've been able to dig up so far) and actually seems to have been an influence on a few aspects of EVA.

Plus, in light of an announcement from ADV that gives the idea they might move to license it, there's a chance it might finally come back from obscurity:

When I heard about the series a couple of months ago I immediatly wanted to get it, but I couldn't find it available at the anime convention I went to so I've yet to see any of it. I'd be very glad if it gets released, I just hope it happens sooner rather than later.
