What's your favorite anime storyline and why

I like things like Ranma where it's all comedy action and you don't have to think very much! And yet, you can still fall in love with the characters! ^_________^

Anything else I really like is also like comedy action, but makes *tons* more sense than Ranma. Like... Rurouni Kenshin kinda falls under that... sorta. And One Piece! And... uh... Shaman King! Perhaps even Excel Saga, but that doesn't exactly have a plot.

I also like comedy romances.

... how about comedy in general?

Damn! Its so hard to pick a favorite, I really hate these "favorite" threads because I had seen so much anime with such a wide variety of plots that its hard to pick a favorite.

For me, it's a tie between Crest of the Stars and Rurouni Kenshin. (Macross goes without saying)

Giant Robo, it's got great characters and it has some crazy plot twists for a 7 episode OVA.

Cowboy Bebop is great, too, but it's main story is told in just 5 episodes. (5,12,13,25,26) Otherwise it is quite episodic. You get little bits and pieces that contribute to the main story of Bebop as you watch, but its pretty much all there in 5 episodes. I loved Cowboy Bebop, but for storyline I prefer when the episodes flow together and tell one story.

you guys are probably thinking im kiddish by now but...i really like the storyline of Yu-Gi-Oh! it changes each season but still has fragments of the previous season....

well my favorite anime may be Pokemon, but the story isnt the best, however, i LOVE each storyline in each of the movies, and the ones yet to come i know will be excellent...

other cool storylines i have to say would be Rurouni Kenshin, Inuyasha is pretty good...Oh yeah, Blue Gender isnt bad either....
