How come the ending to X TV isnt the same as the ending to X the Movie? Its....I mean....what?

Its like....the polar opposite of the end of the movie!!

Why??

I can't decide whether I like it more or whether I hate it!!!

The wrong person died....but.....I think I like it better this way....but...

This ones gonna have me bent for a little while now.

And I have to wait 2 weeks to actually SEE the fucking episodes, even though I know whats coming I bet I'm gonna be like all when all that shit goes down. This series gets to me big time (and I'm not afraid to admit it)

The tv series is based more on the original manga. If anything its more true than the movie is. Personally I have completely disregarded the movie. The story cant be correctly told in a movie so they created the series to better portray it.

Hmm, true...I own the movie, I agree that its awful short and anti-climactic, but viewing it as a movie without comparing it to the series and manga, I'd have to say they did an OK job. What makes me laugh is the fact that Kamui is drawn/animated better in the movie, and Fuma is drawn/animated better in the show. Plus Fuma's voice is pure evil in the series, in the movie its like "I have a deep voice, but I'm not exactly all that evil sounding am I?"

But still, the movie is OK if u can just avoid the comparison. Comparing it, you instantly see where it could be SOOOOOOO much better.

I'm still confused....

The manga version of X was not finished when the movie came out. Nor was it finished when the tv series came out. In fact, I beleive the manga is still not over.

Consequently, the producers of the animated versions had to come up with their own endings, both of which are supposed to be different from the manga ending.

Anyway, the series is much better then the movie in my opinion. The movie ending is just odd and disturbing. "Fuma!!!!..."

Basically it's gonna be like Evangelion all over again. Except this actually will be three different endings, not a rehashed version of the original.

But yeah, I've totally disregarded the movie. Pretty animation, but I swear those sakura petals floating throughout the film are the shredded pieces of the manga....

yeah, when i actually think about it, and not just base my answer on the prettier animation, the tv series is way better (though i haven't finished watching it) the movie just didn't do a good enough job explaining things and people that should have been explained. the series is way better

the only problem i have with the series is the fact that the humans don't win, i'm used to having the humans triumph over any obstacle! so i guess i'll have to wait and finish watching the series to see why Fuma killed Kamui instead of the visa-versa that was in the movie

anyways, when u think about it, neither side was evil, they both had valid arguments, in fact, the dragons of earth had the better argument
