Use track motion to apply a glow to the track with the mask and see if that does what you want it to. Assuming you're doing standard parent-child compositing. I don't know how this would work with Vegas' Bezier masking.
The shadow option under track motion can also be used for a border as long as the masked clip is overlaying something else (otherwise the shadow won't appear). Just set the offsets to zero and increase the size.

I'm pretty sure you'd have to do frame-by-frame stuff for rotating masks. Your other option is to open Photoshop, make the shape of the mask you want and fill it in with white on a black background, import that into Vegas, apply a chroma key and key out the white, rotate the shape, render out a loop of that portion of the video, reimport it and key out the black. It's a long process, but it'd work.

Re: Sony Vegas : rotation/border for mask
hmmm....i know how to add a border on to a mask, just go the FX>Chroma Keyer, anyone will work, then put all the settings to 0% besides blur, just put blur to were you think it looks fine, and then you have a border(side FX(Lol))=it might end up making a blur on parts of your image depending on what the color of your image on the track below your maskLok1990 wrote:how to add border to mask and how to rotate a mask in vegas? anyone knows?
but im not sure what your asking when it comes to rotation, unles you mean moving wich is easily done in the Pan & Crop settings

i believe they want the border to rotate while the image remains stationary, in which case crackthesky's post probably accurately explains how to do it
