I prefer Vegas 7, but in the end, you could go with Vegas 6.

I don't find many useful upgrades in the newer versions of Vegas, but eh~

I mean, if you try out some trial versions of all 3, you won't find many differences =\

Vegas 6.0. It's much, much cheaper with no real differences from later versions (at least, not if all you're gonna use it for is making AMVs).

I would recommend vegas 7 because it's better than 6 and very similar to 8.

ever use vegas 8, but i had use vegas 6 and 7.

my personal advice, 7 got a very good feature in the timeline.

example, there r a colour difference if u want it to scyronize pictures layer from layer. it makes ur eyes easy to see. a very good feature for multiple layers

I like Vegas 8 more than the previous one. It's faster, specially with the preview: I don't have to prerender the clip in order to watch it without getting all slow :P I remember that I had to assign almost 600MB of dynamic memory just to get a decent preview rendering with Vegas 7... with Vegas 8 I only had to assign 220MB XD

Vegas 6 is better then version 7,and 8. Its less glitchier, and of my guessing less expensive. Theirs not really any changed between 6,7,and 8.

For making AMVs, get Vegas 6 HERE. At $79 it's a great deal and if you really need the new features or updates included with 7 or 8, since you own a legit copy of 6, you can purchase the upgrade versions of the newer editions which are cheaper (unless you have a wicked student discount).
