You can declare this thread closed, but you can't stop me from continuing to post in it for the sole purpose of creating the illusion that the thread isn't closed and thus getting more illiterate morons to beg for opinions.

Just get VLC player to play mp4 files out of the box.
You should have a way to play them though, because H264 is soo much nicer than xvid quality to size, so I expect alot of editors to start using it soon. ^^
