Oh, but it's more the style, you know, the posture changes, one after another. You can use it on just about anything. You can have a long shot of him walking, and cut it into 3 still shots of him in different positions of the shot, just like you did in the clip I mentioned.
You do this for a whole segment, it could turn out quite original. You probably have other things in mind for this, but I'd love an entire video based on the concept.

Wait wait wait...is THAT what the Trimmer in Vegas is for? I could never figure that out...o_O HOLY SHIT that makes things easier. Now I don't have to use VDM to cut individual clips ^_^ That's so much easier...-Bauzi- wrote: No I want to say, that:
No matter wich programm you use for editing. You DON´T have to make clips when you are working right.
d2v is good, but only combined with avs-scripts. You can import them than into every video programm (with or without VFAPI or ffdshow).
Now don't go ruining my day saying that I came to an incorrect conclusion about Vegas. But that makes sense!
I know exactly what you mean, and I might try and find a way to do this. At least tell me: should I flash every scene? Because the more I watch it the more it seems like overkill.Greggus1 wrote:You do this for a whole segment, it could turn out quite original. Oh you work with Vegas?
How to delete the borders in easy way:
Open the Pan/Crop window... and change this:

into "No". I´ve not figured out how to change it for all the clips at the same time. So only change Main aspect ratio to: "No". I´ve also tried to change it for all the clips with the track motion, but it doesn´t work. I had the same problem and some more, because of it.

Yes. You have your avs script... you make a fake avi with VFAPI or ffdshow and import it in Vegas. With the Trimmer you can cut out little clips and scence with out rendering them. Uhm... Just check it out and you will see what I mean...Wait wait wait...is THAT what the Trimmer in Vegas is for?

I admit, the flashes seem a little much...I mean, it works, but I felt like placing a flash on every downbeat distracted from the flow of the video. Maybe you could lessen the intensity of some of the flashes to slight pulses (like...have one bigger flash, followed by 3 smaller ones, and then a big one, 3 smaller...etc.), just so it doesn't look so robotic. I don't know...just an idea.
It was previously said, but I also felt like it needed something more when the other drum beats kick in. I'm not sure what...but I think there needs to be a change that involves those drumbeats. Sorry I'm not much help here. D:
Also, I happen to like the song. It's very beautiful (er...judging from the few seconds I've heard so far). I'm curious to see the final product. ^^

Thanks for the advice Bauzi. I'll try to get rid of the borders, if I can. And I'm definitely going to check out the Trimmer, because it seems super-useful.
And I'll try and think of what to do when the "bigger" drum kicks in, because I also think something needs to be there.
In the upper right corner of the webpage there should be a type box with three letters to the left of it...type in the letters and click "Download". You'll have to wait like 45 seconds. If that doesn't work, then I don't know what to tell you :/Kaxi wrote:Can't download the beta :/
Megaupload is such a pain in the ass. Sad
Yeah, this is looking like it's going to be the most technical part of my video...so much for my minimalist mindset >_< But I like what you had to say about the 1-3-1-3 idea, I'll try that and see how it looks. That actually helps a lot, so thank you.aerialesque wrote:I admit, the flashes seem a little much...I mean, it works, but I felt like placing a flash on every downbeat distracted from the flow of the video. CrackTheSky - I know how it works ^^. Just that it says that all bandwith usage for my country is in use, so i can't dl. That's why i said it is a pain in the ass.
I just have to wait till it has finally enaugh room for me to dl. But i see that you received enaugh comments already. I'm gonna dl it if i can though ^^

Alright, see how this looks. Any better? Does the synching to the "big" drum work now? And at the beginning - should I go with film grain or not? Those are supposed to be "memory" scenes, so in that context does the film grain look good/make sense? And let the video run all the way through; I don't have any footage for it yet, but the I'm thinking that at the point in the song where the female vocalists in the background chime in, I'll stop synching to the bass drum beats, or at least I won't sync to all of them, because this part of the song goes for a while longer and it would be obnoxious to keep synching like that.
Anyway, what do you think?
