I don´t like the Black and white thing combined with fade outs. That is too strong and aggressive for such a song.
And: The lipsync at the end. There is too much aggression. That is something for my project, but not for this one.

The rest:
I don´t feel a big change after mixing new scence into it. Maybe someone else see more differences with flow etc. They are as good as the old ones in my eyes.

CrackTheSky wrote:Alright, see how this looks. Any better? Does the synching to the "big" drum work now? And at the beginning - should I go with film grain or not? Those are supposed to be "memory" scenes, so in that context does the film grain look good/make sense? And let the video run all the way through; I don't have any footage for it yet, but the I'm thinking that at the point in the song where the female vocalists in the background chime in, I'll stop synching to the bass drum beats, or at least I won't sync to all of them, because this part of the song goes for a while longer and it would be obnoxious to keep synching like that.

Anyway, what do you think?
I've fought my epic war with megaupload and dled both of your betas. The new version is a lot better, seriously, it is good. I have two recommandations. 1. When turing the colored scenes into black and white, place a white flash for the first few frames (maybe applying some white glow too makes it even more better). It creates a better transition between the two scenes. 2. At 0:13, where the kid with red eyes turns into black and white, it might look better if you mask out his eyes so they remain red (just the eyes), while placing some soft glow too. - in my opinion, they might look better that way.
As for the grain, it's okay. Yeah, you should change the syncing later on.

CrackTheSky wrote:Sorry - triple post - but does anyone notice interlacing anymore? I think I figured out how to get rid of it, and I can't see any with this version, and I just want to make sure I'm not the only one. Ok, thanks in advance!
I didn't notice any interlacing, looks good and clean.

Alright, thanks Kaxi! I appreciate it, and I'll give your suggestions a try to see how I like them.

My computer's being really sporadic and just turning itself off for no reason, and it seems to like to do that when I try to render large portions of my video (I think I need a new power supply). I was hoping to have this video up last week, but it may be a week or two yet...anyway...

Thanks again!

make sure your computer isn't overheating... open the case and vacuum out the dust and make sure the fans are turning.

I'm almost positive it's not overheating...all the signs are pointing towards my hand-me-down power supply, so I think I'll drop the $30-something and get a new one.
