Discovering new music
Where do you discover music?
I've been finding a ton of new stuff on Haystack.com. I really like that it's a networking site and not just a list of music. Pandora is real good too.
Oh the amazing, addictive wonders of StumbleUpon! Woot for interest based random internet browsing

News and reviews sites, but on occasion forums like ProgPowerUSA or Perpetual Motion. Then I just jump to whatever band site or myspace page has samples to listen to before I hunt down a torrent (if there is one). And if I really like it, I buy the album.

I tend not to trust any listings, and do it either by a) recommendation (and extensive prodding) from friends; b) connections and friends of bands I already like
Otherwise I have many moments of course where I just bump into something I like. My music tastes tend to vary a lot and be unpredictable, so for me it's hard to get into something for which there's no context (and usually a recommendation or connection will get me that context). Nowadays my listening rage is so large that, frankly, I'm not that worried about finding new stuff; I have too much to listen to at this point.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

I miss MP3.com
it was a goldmine for the most AWFUL music imaginable
other than that I have to do it though friend reccomendations fr much the same reasons as OTO
I hate (most) clearchannel music, and have random music tastes, so i usually find good (depending on your defenition) stuff mainly from other people. after that from random encounters.
