One Reason People Are Stupid

I thought back to a few months ago. I was listening music and my dad kept asking mw WHY I listened to it. As it turns out, it was from some game or anime. I asked him if he didn't consider it actual music because of what it was from. HE SAID YES. I tried to explain to him that ACTUAL ARTISTS made most of said music, but he wouldn't listen. Does anyone else find this as insanely moronic as I do?

Of course it depends on the specific examples. But I shake my fist at anyone who says something about Yoko Kanno not being seriously good music

Seriously, it may be that it's 2 AM, but my brain is literally trying to grasp the sheer stupidity of that statement your dad made. Seriously, stupid people scare me.

I have had a situation exactly opposite of that. My mom heard the ochestrated version of the Kingdom Hearts song and she said she loved it. She was amazed it came from a video game.

Music is music. Whether it's from a video game or not. Heck, even I LISTEN TO GAME MUSIC! And I'm not afraid to say it either!

Quite "insanely moronic" if you ask me, or maybe sometimes some people can be ignorant about different taste of music...or even questioned about whether or not video game or anime music considered to be part of music themselves.

It doesn't bother me that much about that, I listen to what I want to listen to...and if other people find it questionable or find it not part of music, I simply explain it to them what is it breifly and keep on listening to my music...loudly.

Although this is going against every rational thought, Ihave to disagree. Rap IS music, although I ca't STAND 99.9% of it. Also, my father isn't a moron, persay. He just has a tendency to say very moronic things. I mean, come on, he supports my sister and I since our mom passed away. And for whoever it was that said intelligence was genetic can go screw themselves. I've yet to fail anything in high school, and my G.P.A. is about 3.5 or so.
