Music for an Animated Fighting scene...

Post by dragoon38900 » Wed Apr 13, 2005 6:58 pm

Hey, me and my friends are creating a fighting scene animation. It's going to have two characters, with a black and white theme (guy with balck clothing vs guy with white clothing). Its going to take place during the night, with the sun setting in the begginning, and sun rising in the end...or something like that. However, we're not really sure what song/beat we're going to choose. Do you guys know any good songs that fits into fighting scenes, especially with good lyrics(not those random lyrics rock songs...)? Your help is appreciated, and I will give credit to everyone(your desired name will appear in the credits)

Meh, lyrics are unnecessary. Look for "#43 With Steamed Rice Please" by Tsunami One. Excellent techno with lots of random kung-fu movie samples in it. :)
Life's short.

Meh, lyrics are unnecessary
Well, not all the time. Some AMVs are really good when the lyrics represents something.

Anyways, yes I checked out "#43 With Steamed Rice Please" by Tsunami One, it was long and it had some good parts, some annoying parts. However, thats not what I was looking for. Thanks anyways.

Well, If I didnt give enough information of what this animation is going to be about, than heres a concept we might choose:

Characters: (insert first name) Ryuukihei, and his twin (insert first name) Ryuukihei.

Scenes:
Beginning- Sunset, they meet (either they stare at each other, or they find each other).
Middle- They fight
End- One dies, the other one realizes he just killed his last family member, he drops on the floor, picks up his dear brother and screams, as the sun rises.

Setting: (not sure) in the woods, in a wide open either plain, or in a place with lots of trees and open spaces.

Plot: The Twins were always rivals when they were growing up. When they were born, their mother died in the labor of the second born. Therefore, the first twin would always get his way by blaming him about their mother’s untimely death. Even though it seemed like they hated each other as they grew up, it also brought them together even more. When their father dies in battle, he left them the two swords he kept with him as his final gift. He wrote that the swords represented both of them, and that he is giving them to them for a reason they should figure out by themselves. When he died (he was an important person) it caused a war between the two (enter name of place/school/society/etc) which were (enter name) and (enter name). However, one of the twins was placed into (enter name of first place) while the other one was placed into (enter other name). They blamed each other for many things, and they both grow in hatred. In the side they went, they made many close friends. They knew that they had to fight each other eventually, but they knew they were siblings, so they tried to avoid each other. However, one of the twins (the first twin) ends up killing the other twin’s dearest friend, unknowingly. This makes the other twin (the second twin) angry and he hunts down his twin. Then, they fight each other. The second twin wins, even though he was the “weaker” one since childhood, but out of anger he kills his twin. However, his mind snaps, and he looks down at his dead twin, and drops on the floor. He realizes he just killed his only family member remaining, and he picks up his brother and screams. When he takes his sword, he is shocked. He sees that the end of his handle had a piece that fits exactly to his end piece. He realizes that the swords were not meant to clash each other, but yet attach to each other, representing their bond as twins, and family. (Insert ending here, because I can’t think of a good one)

Anyways, thats the story we might be choosing, and so does anyone knows any good songs that fits this idea?
Thanks

How long do you want the song to be???

*Seeing as I don't know until you reply I can still suggest..*

Verdi - Dies Irae(This is very short)
John Williams - Duel of Fates(I have quite a few remixes that I could suggest as well)
Brain Bug - Nightmare
Chemical Brothers - Block Rockin Beats
" " - Setting Sun
Bomb Club - Liebe
Dj Quicksilver - Ameno(All mixes are pretty good as well)
Dj Shadow - Building Stream With A Grain of Salt(Altough I'm not sure about his talking in it, you might want to make a remix or just cut off the first min. or so.. and fade in)

I could name countless others but just get back to me if you like any of these..

Are lyrics important? Cuz if they're not so much, Impact Blue by Initial D is a good fighting song. It's in japanese though.
-Are children who act in rated 'R' movies allowed to see them?
-Do they have girl’s bathrooms in gay bars?

Halford - One Will

Lyrical content, one will live tonight, one will die tonight. Yes, it's about fighting.

Rage - Down

Lyrical content, you're going dooooownn... similiar to above song.

Both songs bounce and keep your head bobbing.
I fear the little people.

Thanks guys, I had so much to do, I nearly forgot about this topic.
Sorry I havent replied. Anyways, I tried getting some of the songs, and some I didnt like, some I did. Right now, I might want a japanese song...mainly because of the inspiration the new introduction of Bleach gave me. It was really good. As for the Initial D song, I use to have some Initial D somewhere....not sure where they went....but you see, I dont wanna use songs from anime, its just not original. Is there a Japanese song that isnt in an anime, and sounds good. BTW, I changed my concept of the whole animation. Now, instead of two guys, I will have 6 characters, sort of like an introductionary scene of the characters.

Dude, define Japanese song.

If it's just a song by a Japanese band/performer..then you aren't really limitting yourself or giving us anything to help you with.

Oh, sorry didnt really explained myself there... not really sure what they call it (im not really good with music, as you can see), but im looking for Japanese songs that would fit into an introductionary scene (like the opening theme for the 2nd Bleach introduction, or some of the opening themes of Naruto). Maybe something with different instruments and such. Now, Ive listened to some songs by The Pillows, and others I forgot the names of....but they were from animes already. Some were perfect for what I was thinking of, but I want to be original and choose a song thats not in an anime already.

I hope this is what you were asking about...if not than Ill try to be more specific.

(Basically, Japanese songs that would fit into an opening scene of a typical action/comedy/drama anime, thats not in an anime already)

KoRn - "Let's Do This Now" is a fight song.

If you like that kind of music, then check it out.
