we've reached our first campsite. the porters, who despite carrying over 4x the load we carry, and leaving after us, have reached the campsite ahead of us and begun unpacking.

entire staff. dont mind the fact the chef is picking his nose, the food was delicious. especially those raisins...

extra staff member. he was a sweet doggy too, i was petting him and then he started following me around the camp.

APRIL 23
we're up bright and early for the second and toughest day of the hike. we will be climbing 4000 ft to an altitude of 14000 ft at dead woman's pass.

we are winnars!

the descent. you'd think it'd be easier, but it was just as nasty trying to control your speed on the uneven rocky path surface. my knees got pretty screwed up.
