After forgetting to remove my wireless adapter from it's USB port and then accidentally kneeing it while installing new RAM in my pc, and snapping it, I now has the internets again! Yay! Also

I already bought this on steam, but I re-bought the game for the sound track and art book that came with the limited Edition physical copy, and now I'm very very happy.

Passed the state-required safety course/evaluation today, so I'm getting my motorcycle endorsement. Gotta schedule an appointment for Friday* at the DMV to get my license updated.
*they told us it'd likely be ready by Wednesday morning by noon, but I have to work both Wednesday and Thursday.

Re: The Happy Thread
Thanks to Amazon 2 day shipping I received this lovely thing at my door yesterday. Been needing to upgrade my network at home to support more traffic and clients and this is the first step. I'm loving this thing so far. So simple to setup which is really nice considering this is an enterprise device. I plugged it in and it just worked, though I did spend a bit of time configuring it to what I wanted it to be (about 15 mins.) It also survived the party test. Everyone with their phones and laptops and what not and not once did it bat an eye and force people offline. Now I'm just waiting for the parts for my firewall build to come in.

This is a Ubiquiti UniFi Enterprise Access Point if you've never seen something like this. It's a wifi access point.

@Nate - I saw a review on Ars about those. They look pretty cool and useful for a small business environment.

Re: The Happy Thread
yeah, I've been looking into getting one for quite some time since I saw a Linus Tech Tips video on it last year and finally bit the bullet. The one is enough for my current setup but once I move back to a multi-story environment I plan to pick up another in order to ensure saturation for wifi throughout the house. Though I may look into upgrading to an AC unit (this one only supports up to N) once I get more AC clients (currently my phone is the only client that supports AC) and could use the added throughput. But then again, most of my house is run wired so it's not so big a deal.BasharOfTheAges wrote:@Nate - I saw a review on Ars about those.
