Do as I did when I got rejected from psychology: "Well, it would have sucked anyway!... Hey, this "sociology" thing looks interesting (and incidentally also much easier to get in.........)"Mkid wrote:i didnt get into the college i wanted too, im not so angry as i am surprised...... the only thing worst than having to wake up at 4 am... is being sick and having to wake up at 4 am

I don't understand why some people are so crazy about taking pictures. I have a few old photos, and they just make me sad. I get taking pictures for artistic purposes, but I don't like them as a historical record. I suppose they help recall more vividly the memories of the past, but that's not something that generally makes me happy. Maybe I'm not old enough yet.

I've always felt they prevent you from really getting into the moment too. You have to detach yourself to find the state of mind to frame the shot and execute it. To me, that means you're not enjoying it as it's happening.Flint the Dwarf wrote:I don't understand why some people are so crazy about taking pictures. I don't take pictures when I'm really into something, but I love randomly taking photos of things happening around me otherwise, especially when they involve good people and good times. They make great screensavers. I look at them for hours.
I've got about 18,000 photos on random as my screensaver and I wouldn't trade those for anything.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

I don't mind browsing through pictures taken at some party for example but taking the effort of posing, framing the shot etc. in a funeral just feels pretentious.Flint the Dwarf wrote:I don't understand why some people are so crazy about taking pictures. Re: Vent Thread
The streets in my neighborhood are very narrow. Cars are allowed to park along one side, and there is enough room for one car to pass by on the other. This means that if two cars are on the same street going opposite directions, one car has to pull aside and wait for the other to pass. Now, this wouldn't bother me, except no one seems to fucking understand how this is supposed to work. If I am turning down a side street, I cannot see through the houses and parked cars to know that you are on that street all the way at the other end of the block. If you are on the parking side of the street and there is a small open space, pull into it, because I have nowhere to go. Do not make a rude hand gesture at me like you are expecting me to back into the intersection for you. That would be really dangerous, you fucking dipstick.

Vent Thread
I'm in one of those moods where I list everything I hate about my life.
I turn 20 this July. If only my religion allowed me to celebrate my birthday (the end of my shitty, deprived childhood).
My family has never owned a property. We always rent. None of our landlords allowed pets. I've had one fuckin fish all my life.
I can only date people in my own religion. If only the one girl I actually have been friends with since childhood didn't hate me for trying to buy her and her mother an iPad (mentioned some time ago in this thread) for reasons I cannot understand. Theyre just as financially troubled as my family is, but she somehow takes offense to me trying to get her a gift? I'm starting to think she just finds me creepy -_-
Old people keep inviting my parents over to play music. When asked, my dad says I play bass (yeah, like, 10 years ago! Fckin ass). When they bother to ask ME, I say "electric keyboard". And they go, "oh...". Is that a BAD thing? Wtf? So I can't play Hawaiian music on a piano, big whoop! Fuck you too!
Im at their house now on a couch writing this from my 10% battery life iPhone.
