I love the art in the 1800s and before. I know some of the history. Had trouble finding art in the 1900s that resembled 1800s art. So I'm not completely happy with abstract/modern art.. but at least it started to allow new creative expression.downwithpants wrote:modernism? sounds like the works the urbandictionary citation is trying to describe. but modernism is just art that tries to be different from pre-modernist art.
My friend that was over at my house a few hours back could of posted his ideas here for me since he is an art major. One of the reasons he came over was to evaluate my post, and see if I'm far off or if he could add to it. Instead we did other things(by the way, he isn't the friend that did something behind my back that I just mentioned in the vent thread. He just told me about the events that may have taken place)
