Anime Detour 2007: AMV and WTF Contests!

Just a reminder that Anime Detour will be having a couple AMV contests again this year.

AMV Contest
AD's original AMV contest open to members of all ages. Deadline for submissions will be March 2nd, 2007. Get your submissions in early if at all possible! Click here for contest rules.

Whiskey Tentacle Foxtrot
This contest is a search for the most painfully bad AMV in existence. It can be cliché. It can be cracktastic. It can be sappy. It can be in super fansub quality. It can be just plain wrong. But in the end, only one lucky vidder will be presented the WTF award. Please note, this will be an 18+ event!

Detour falls on my birthday again.

Perhaps I'll make up a lil sumsum and actually go this year.

It falls on my birthday too, but there's really no better place to celebrate it than at con.

Despite all that programming stuff I'm supposed to be in charge of...

Oh and i noticed it says we cannot enter a video with "excessive violence".. I guess this means no bleach

I'm guessing that excessive violence goes along the same lines as what can be hosted on this site.

Looking forward to AD this year...
wanted to go last year but the plan fell through.
Lucky for me it happens over my spring break (when I'm back home in Minnesota)
With some luck I'll be able to submit a vid to the contest as well

Leave my head at home if you do, though. I hope I have something to send this year for both contests. Wish I could go, but I like the warm springs down here....
