Is it possible to enter as a non-competing entry?
I don't believe in trolling for awards, but I do like to have my videos screened at conventions. And it just so happens that two of my videos that I really want to share had won awards at the first conventions that I submitted them to. So I try to look out for contests that take non-competing entries as well.

The rules for the contests state that it's fine as long as it has not won an award prior to Jan, 2005... But if you still want to remain non-compeating, The con also have a AMV room I run there with a 500+ seat capacity so If people want to send me a non-compeating video, I can make a block for it as wellJasper-Isis wrote:Is it possible to enter as a non-competing entry?

I think I will work extra-hard and give my current video project a shot in the contests, also.

I'm resurrecting this thread to ask some questions:
If we want to FTP our video submission form, do we need to scan the page with our signature on it? Or do we not really need the signature? And I see that there's a .pdf version of the submission form, but is there a text version available so that we don't have to copy it all out in the e-mail?
p.s. - Both me and Sierra are planning on coming to Anime Evolution, so hopefully we'll be able to be there and see the contest.

No, you do not need the signature for FTP as I will send a confirmation e-mail you must answer once the videos are uploaded...silver_moon wrote:I'm resurrecting this thread to ask some questions:

Great!!! Look forward to meeting you both! You will not be able to miss me as I will be in the AMV room the whole time!! This year I've got a lot of goodies in store!
This year there will be a AMV panel on how to make AMVs and will cover technical aspects, artistic stuff, ideas and I'll even give a way a few tricks I use and even a bit on After Effects.. I hope to get more creators on it as well
Which reminds me, two weeks to go to deadline so everyone don't forget to submit!
Vlad
