ODU MINICON AMV CONTEST [WINNERS POSTED]

Greetings and thank you for your interest in submitting to the ODU Minicon AMV contest!

The deadline for submitting to this contest is at 11:59pm est on March 22nd .

THERE WILL BE NO EXTENSIONS AT ALL.

The submission rules are as follows:

Each editor will only be able to submit ONE amv. This is a minicon so the contest itself is mini.
There will be no categories whatsoever, everything will be played together.

When you submit your entry please make sure it fits the following format standards:

- 720 x 480 resolution (16:9) or no less than 640x480 (4:3)
- 29.97 frames per second
- Non-Interlaced video (Progressive)
- 48000 Hz audio

Video:
- MPEG 2
- MPEG 1
- HuffYUV avi
- Uncompressed avi
- Divx avi
- Xvid avi
- MP4 (no Quicktime-formatted videos will be accepted)

Audio:
- Uncompressed wav (PCM)
- MPEG audio (mp3, mp2, etc.)

and that you attach a submission form to your entry that will include:

- Title of the amv
- Full legal name
- Nickname/Editor name/production studio name if applicable
- Email address
- Song title(s), artist(s), and recording label(s)
- Name of source video footage

Please include all the information and have it in a simple .txt format!

When you enter both the amv and .txt document please sure to have them in a similar naming format

(i.e. “John Smith – My AMV.avi” and “John Smith – My AMV.txt”).

When you are ready to submit you entry please upload it to a site such as sendspace, megaupload, dropbox, google drive or animemusicvideos.org. So I will be able to download it.

I WILL NOT TAKE THINGS SUCH AS YOUTUBE LINKS OR A DOWNLOAD SERVICE IN WHICH I HAVE TO PAY TO GET YOUR ENTRY. YOU WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DISQUALIFIED IF YOU DO THIS!

Send your entry with a download link to princessmareep@hotmail.com with your .txt document attached to said email.

The general AMV rules are as follows:

- All entries must conform the the formats listed above
- There will be no plagiarism allowed. Any attempt to submit work other than your own will result in an auto disqualification and result in you getting permanently blacklisted from this contest.
- Please keep your entries at a PG level. No nudity, no excessive blood, foul language, racial or verbal obscenities or anything of the like is allowed whatsoever.
- Please don't add your own bumpers or credits. It will be done for you.
- Remember only ONE entry is allowed per person.
- Entries are to be more than a minute in length and no more than 5 minutes long.
- Do not use dubbed voices from any licensed material
- If your entry has poor quality (video or audio), logos, watermarks, Japanese produced credits (such as openings and endings of anime) or subtitles that are not produced by yourself (such as a fansub of an anime) you will be disqualified automatically.
- Prizes will only be given to those who are attending the contest. If you're not there they only thing you will get are bragging rights (which are still cool!)
- DVD copies of the contest will not be available due to legal reasons.
- The right to reject any video for any reason is enforced and rules are subject to change.
