Because I'm stupidly obsessive with lists and statistics, a couple country-related numbers so far:
The US had 41 editors (excluding dokool), a minimum of 15 would be eliminated due to head-to-head US matches. Of the remaining 11 editors, only 3 survived their match, 8 were eliminated. (18 survivors, 23 eliminated, 44% survival overall, 27% of non-head-to-heads survive)
Canada had 6 editors, no head-to-head matches, 5 survived, 1 was eliminated. (83% survival)
Germany had 5 editors, no head-to-head matches, 2 survived, 3 were eliminated. (40% survival)
Australia had 4 editors, no head-to-head matches, 2 survived, 2 were eliminated. (50% survival)
The Netherlands had 3 editors, no head-to-head matches, 2 survived, 1 was eliminated. (67% survival)
Greece had 1 editor, 1 survived, 0 were eliminated. (100% survival)
Japan/US (dokool) had 1 editor, 1 survived, 0 were eliminated. (100% survival)
Mexico had 1 editor, 0 survived, 1 was eliminated. (0% survival)
South Africa had 1 editor, 0 survived, 1 was eliminated. (0% survival)
The UK had 1 editor, 1 survived, 0 were eliminated. (100% survival)
For Round 2:
The US has 18 editors, a minimum of 4 will be eliminated due to head-to-head matches.
Canada has 5 editors, none head-to-head.
Germany has 2 editors, none head-to-head.
Australia has 2 editors, none head-to-head.
The Netherlands has 2 editors, none head-to-head.
Japan/US has 1 editor.
The UK has 1 editor.
Mexico and South Africa have had all their editors eliminated.
