I'm glad to see editors submitting videos according to the new open content style that we've been running since last year. The more the merrier IMHO, of any type of video really.

Though as of right now we're really hurting for comedy. It's really the only category that is hurting for entries at this point. Not saying we don't need more entries in the other categories, just that as of right now there isn't enough entries in comedy for that category to stick for an award. So come on guys, lets see you flex your funny bones!

Also, please take a moment and check your entry status. This goes for everyone who entered. I have performed the first round of QC on all entries that have been submitted (basic check for rules adherence) and have updated entry status accordingly. Unless you check your status you may not notice an error that you can easily correct and resubmit.

Oh, and I should add just in case the need arises: We only have time for a 4 hour contest block at the convention. If we happen to receive more entries that pass QC then we can fit in the 4 hour block we will make a selection of the best entries from the contest to be shown at the convention. We will try to show at least 1 entry per editor during the con, and if there is any extra time for free play we will try to throw in any 'cut' entries into those blocks as well. However this does not mean that any entries will be cut from competing. Since we judge entries prior to the con (minus the audience award) every entry still has a chance to win something even if they are not all shown at the con.
I'm not expecting this to happen, but we came awfully close last year so I figured I'd give a heads up just in case. *Nate forgot to add that to the rules*
