It's certainly the one I modeled mine after. The gradients make it look so good, and you can really have fun with decorative stuff between categories.XStylus wrote: SakuraCon's came out even better, in my honest opinion...

I'll be honest, the AX ballots do owe an acknowledgement to Otakon. I was very impressed when I first saw their ballots at Otakon 2010, as I was used to scraps of paper for AX's ballots. When I became AMV coordinator in 2012 I was determined to do nice ballots.Scintilla wrote:Even if I associate that font much more strongly with Otakon.
I didn't want to copy their font, but it was the only one that let everything fit efficiently. For 2015 we'll be doing away with that font entirely though at the request of powers-that-be who want me to start adhering more closely to AX's overall design language. It's not a drastic change though.
AX's are 4.25x11, SakuraCon's are 3.5x8.5.How tall do they have to be to make everything legible? 11"? Or is 8.5" enough?

Just as a reminder, there's one week left to submit a TV Commercial entry to the Bonus Category.
The submission links on the anime-expo.org website indicate "Submissions Closed", so use the below links to submit your entry:

Soooooooooooo, question...the commercials I sent in already...I just noticed after 50 billion reviews and totally missed by beta testers...has a typo.XStylus wrote:Just as a reminder, there's one week left to submit a TV Commercial entry to the Bonus Category.

Would it be possible to, if selected to play during AX to submit a revision? If it is trouble to send right away it can wait, since it even under a judging capacity it will probably go unnoticed. But now that is all I am going to see and it is unacceptable. UNACCEPTABLE I SAY!

Except for the spelling mistakes. =PXStylus wrote:I'm in no hurry to find a digital replacement for the ballots. AX and SakuraCon have the nicest ballots of any con out there and I'm rather proud of that.

Hmm, I hope it was clear that all of my 'suggestions' were jokes...
