We have the LAMV thread in GAMV. That's fair ground, i guess. Since this should be somewhat related to AMVers anyway, LAMVs by AMVers is pretty much as good as it gets.Infinity Squared wrote:Why not? I think we should just mirror the VCAs. While i'll be happy for a Live action category, this is technically "ANIMEmusicvideos.org", so not sure if it would fit the theme of the site. opinions?

VCAs are "official" animemusicvideos.org material, JCAs are between us and we can do whatever we want with them. The one issue that bothers me is that there are as many categories of live action videos as there are of anime music videos, so limiting it to "best video" might lead us to try and compare the uncomparable. But adding categories would be an unnecessarily huge step and there wouldn't even be enough videos to fit in all of them, so it should go much like the anime "Video of the Year" category. Won't be absolute but hell, it will be close enough and a good representative for the year.

This site is dedicated to ANIMEmusicvideos. I don't see the point in a Best Live Actin Video category. However for me a "Best Use Of Live Action" makes sense, because today we often mix anime and la.

It's all about number of votes. If you don't agree, don't nom it. If you agree, nom it. Unless it's way, way out there, or intentionally insulting, I won't nix it. It's a numbers game, pure and simple.
