Yeah, this was quite a shame. We pretty much all agree that this was due to the AMV contest not getting a Main Events screening out of the 4 times the contest played. While the 4 times were very nice, none of the rooms could hold a lot of people, so that's why we think voter turn out was low. I don't think the powers that be anticipated the audience demand for the contest screenings (and I don't think they were used to the new venue's layout), so next year they said they will definitely give the contest a Main Events screening at a better time slot so that more attendees can actually *watch* the contest.GinnySeta wrote:I'll leave VegettoEX to explain the ballot numbers, but I was shocked when I compared it to the 200 or so of last year. In terms of ballot counts, I'm not sure if Mike's OK with giving out exact numbers, but I will say it was less than 200.
