Don't feel too bad. A lot of it was people arguing over sources and potty jokes.

The moaning about sources was funny... I could have moaned about Madoka and the Kill La Kill videos, but whether or not I have seen too many of those has nothing to do with the AMV is good or not. Criticize a source if doesn't match / fit the song or if the AMV is not good... otherwise you are admitting you are biased / close minded when it comes to judging.

I agree, though I think the reason people have issues judging overused sources is because almost everything has already been done- so it's difficult to create something new and refreshing.

So we can start watching the videos now? How does the scoring normally work for the videos?
No matter what, stay calm, stay cool and live life to the fullest.
Plus as Gene would say always go big in life.

No set scoring really, just pick the videos you like.
Gimme a minute, I'll make a cool one....

How people talk about over used sources in a social setting and how they actually rate a video to judge it are two different things. Most of us are going to watch the videos on our own as well to actually evaluate them as fairly as we can without the distraction of social factors.

Yeah, I'm sick of Redline, Attack on Titan, Fall Out Boy, Eva, etc, etc, etc. I'll still judge a video for what it is. That said, I don't feel like I need to hide how I feel about over used sources when socializing.

Overused songs bother me more than overused video... There are so many artists and so many songs out there and for certain songs to get 20 different versions is kind of crazy.

AWA Pro 2014 Reviews. I am not a troll, but I treat AWA Pro with brutal honesty and apologize later.
Spoiler :
– that was a really interesting combo.
– Haha! Birds.
– didn’t get into this one. Nicely edited tho.
– The vertical and horizontal wipes I found amateurish in the beginning, but they grew on me and were well done. In the end I found them part of the video’s charm. Good action timing.
– editing was very clean. storytelling got a little lost on me.
– very sweet.
– unless you know the series, the connection goes completely over your head.
– I didn’t feel a strong connection between the sources, and I didn’t understand what was going on. But the combo made me interested in learning more about the series.
– pretty generic. I didn’t watch the whole thing. Both series and song have been overdone, so if you’re going to put a combo like this together it needs to be mindblowing to warrant any attention.
– this was so unbelievably horribly bad, it was fantastically amazing.
– if you’re gonna do a manga music video make sure you have amazing quality images. That goes for anime as well but even more so for still images.
– didn’t finish this one. The storytelling wasn’t compelling enough for me to forgive the incorrect aspect ratio.
– I’m a product of the 80s. no wonder I’m so messed up.
– I was really excited during the first half of this. One of my best videos uses this song to I was happy to hear it again especially to an epic looking anime. But you lost me about half way thru, it didn’t feel as well thought out as the first half. Feels unfinished.
– the white flashes on beat got old pretty fast. I was like ok I get it less than a minute in so I tried to ignore it after that. I’ve never seen steins gate but I’ve seen plenty of amvs, and I think this is the first video that made me feel like I finally have a clue what it’s about and makes me want to watch even more.
– I liked this one. I think it’s my favorite so far. I love uplifting/sentimental vids like this. The editing isn’t perfect but the storytelling was excellent.
– very clean, well done.
- :\
– troll?
– nice editing. I didn’t understand the combo tho.
– I really like the storytelling in this. The combination fits very nicely. I didn’t like the editing. That repetitive fade to black was terrible.
– this is a great example of letting the animation do all the work for you. great mash up. My only complaint is that final scene. Kinda anticlimactic. Shoulda been something straight on / centered. Like the survey corp standing side by side, or a fist/body hitting the screen. EDIT: I KNEW I heard this song before. This past Akross contest had the same combo and won an award with it >> http://akross.ru/index.cgi?act=video;id=3992;l=e - I'll be honest tho, I like your version much better.
– HAHAHAHAHAA!!!!
– this was really sweet. A joy to watch. Very smooth and a great blend of various anime.
– very nice! I know nothing about the series but this video was excellent. Very professional.
- …yeah. That worked.
– this feels like a hype video for the beginning of a contest made up of the entries.
– X) oi
– ha at first I thought you were gonna try to deceive us. “Aww what a sweet cute anime this looks like!”
– didn’t really know where the story was going. Nice creepy mulberry bush tho.
– cute! Editing was pretty good, great storytelling!
– That was sick. Professional.
– didn’t really get it.
– best of show.
– mm. s’alright. Didn’t grab me personally.
– I love it when dramatic FLCL videos work.
– felt really long. You could have cut a whole minute out of the song and still conveyed the emotion you were aiming for.
– what the heck is this anime??
– I think I know who made this…
– meh
– not sure what to think of this one. The anime looks interesting.
- …dude where’s the rest of it?
– Oh, there it is.
– too easy :P
- …huh? It looked really interesting at first.
– so pretty!! Very nice combo.
– my god that movie looks fantastic.
– no THIS is best of show right here.
– rofl that was fantastic XD
– thaaaaat was pretty damn excellent. And I’m aggravated cuz it’s very similar to an action vid I plan on making and your editing is superb.
– nice 
– very clean editing. Great storytelling.
– I still have no interest in seeing this.
– I think this combo has great potential but the execution needs to be polished up quite a bit, both with editing and storytelling, but mostly editing.
– womp womp
– reeeeeaaally great storytelling.
– hm. That was different. Never seen that anime before, it matched nicely with the song.
– kinda boring. Nice fit tho
– cute. Better for fans of the series I’m guessing
– anime sorta worked
– an excellent match, great storytelling. The split screens looked terrible.
– sloppy
– no structure. Lazy editing and storytelling. Song and video had no connection.
– clever lyrics
– editing was ok, really good storytelling.
