I didn't do the black spot. My vids will still be shown, but I'm DQd from winning anything. >_<

I would never DQ a video at MTAC for a missing black spot, but that is why I add 1-2 seconds at the beginning of my videos to be on the safe side. How many cons say... no black space?

come on guys read!!! lol I am going to try and make the rules for MTAC easier to read this year. Often contests have a massive list and a lot of it is just common sense, but often there will be the freshness or award limits that people just skip reading. There needs to be a box for common sense rules and then a inverted red box with white text that has at the top

I thought I had it added in to my AMV's but I took another look and didn't create a version for Aniventure. I put the wrong copies of the videos into my folder, thinking I already had done it.

That was my fault for not looking at the video versions before submitting them.

I do feel this was an odd rule though I've never entered a contest that required a banner before.

I actually liked having to add the banner It is annoying that I have to make yet another version on an AMV and my computer's space has been taking over by so many copies, that said, adding the banner itself didn't bother me. The opening is only 5 seconds but I jazzed it up to suit my taste, I liked it more than the usual "Black background and white text only" rule.

If you plan to enter to contests like AKROSS Con (which it will be announced soon) and AMVNews contests the banners is always required. I prefer that instead of the blank space

I sent mine in early so I could resolve any problems, such as the Aniventure logo. Strange, but ya do whatcha gotta do.
