i'll go ahead and nominate Chez as well, since emotive is getting mad love so i'd feel bad being a conformist.

Re: JCA - Organisation and Judge Nomination
As long as he is serious... I'll vote for Godix too. I don't know anybody who could represent my taste, but when he gets serious he has good points and comes up with stuff that I can agree to.mirkosp wrote:godix. No matter what bitches be sayin', he's the best judge out there. It's a matter of having him to be serious, which I believe he would be. Now the real issue is hoping for him to be fine with checking all the vids up for the voting...
It's interessting that not so many nominations come up. This new nomination rule makes people think about their suggestions. It really made me think for a while.

Re: JCA - Organisation and Judge Nomination
I'd nominate godix as well. We need either the least biased judges or a very diverse group this time.
"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

Re: JCA - Organisation and Judge Nomination
That's why I am giving it more than a week. This is based heavily on the US primary system, and even moreso on the Texas version. In Texas you may vote for one Democrat OR one Republican OR one Libertarian OR one Green OR one Independent (by way of a ballot initiative), but you may ONLY vote for one person during the primary season. You may not vote for someone in the Democratic Primary, and then choose to support the ballot initiative of an Independent. That's considered voting twice. You may then vote once more between the Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, Green, and Independent candidates, and choose which of the five that garnered the most votes in their respective primaries deserve to represent you in government. It really does force you to examine each candidate fielded first by each primary, and then by each party. I felt this would give a truer sense of the Org's Editors' collective will, and also be much less tallying work for me as Organiser.Bauzi wrote:It's interessting that not so many nominations come up. I'll vote mirkosp. I don't often agree with his taste, but at least he thinks about what he's watching. Besides, the poor guy needs some sort of consolation prize after I whip his ass for Most Helpful.
*EDIT* It occurs to me that some might want to vote for people who weren't involved before. I'm not saying previous involvement should disqualify someone or not, it's your choice when you select someone to vote for. For those who might care last year I ran the JCA and the judges were Douggie, Fall_Child42, Ingow, Niotex, Otohiko, and Zarxrax. The previous year Koop ran things and the judges were AtomX, -Gfn-, Vlad, an unknown judge, and me.
