I've always wanted to try to expand my abilities, but laziness and time always win out. I don't think I've made 8 videos in like the last...3 years -_-;;.
Then again, can I just make one sappy video and then change the song seven times?
Either way, I think this is a good idea if you have the time and interest. If not, I don't imagine you'd get very far...

Same here when I first read this thread it sounded like an interesting idea, but going to college, working 30 hours a week and studying for other test job related doesn't leave me much time anymore for amv's. I've only made 2 or 3 vids in the past 2 years. I would give this a shot, however I think I'll try to make different types of videos throughout 2008 though and try different things. I just don't think I could do all 8.
No matter what, stay calm, stay cool and live life to the fullest.
Plus as Gene would say always go big in life.

All my Videos look the same, there are barely any differences, so I think this will be a damn good exercise for me to expand my Horizon. I think I'm up for this

I combined categories on some of these. It's dance/fun not just dance. I know you've done at least one fun video. If you want to challenge yourself by doing a dance video then great, just wanted to point out Odorikuruu like videos aren't the only thing in that category.otohiko wrote:I may consider taking this up, because I don't know what else would make me do a Dance
I'm not putting a time limit on it. I figure make the video long enough it seems complete instead of leaving people going 'that's it? Where's the rest?' How long that will be varies greatly depending on editing style, song choice, and genre.NerdStrudel wrote:what's a good time for each? like.. do we have to have ike 3 minutes and higehr for each or anything liek that? or just.. full as we see fit?
Let me guess, every single song will be sappy and from the 80's?dwchang wrote:Then again, can I just make one sappy video and then change the song seven times?
That's fine. Even if people can't do all 8 they can still take the opportunity to try new things.Gene Starwind 21122 wrote:I would give this a shot, however I think I'll try to make different types of videos throughout 2008 though and try different things. I just don't think I could do all 8.
I always get in trouble when I use specific examples in IRC. Would it help if I point out that your one rather actiony dance video I based my comments on is also one of the rare videos I actually liked enough to keep? Despite it not being all that upbeat a song actually. Besides there are many more than you that do that.Ileia wrote:and btw, you only think my dance looks like action because you're basing it off one video and you didn't see my RO-Estrogen track cuz you didn't go to ACen or AWA so THERE

Hopefully this time it'll be done with better results.inthesto wrote:I don't think eight videos in a year is even physically possible.
As for everyone else, I've noted your interest and thank you. I'm not actually going to put up a list of people doing this on the fist post yet though. This is one of those things it's easy to promise to do and never actually get around to doing. I don't want a list full of nothing so I'll wait until 2008 and put people on the list once they actually post a video in here.
