A-Kon 2010 VSE - Go Live! (Additional Info)

Post by rubyeye » Sat Apr 03, 2010 6:50 pm

Here is a brief update on a couple of topics for everyone to be aware of:

Submission “Registration” Deadline:

May 2nd is scheduled to be the “registration” deadline for submissions. If you are planning to enter a video to any contests, you must log into the site and submit all your video information by then. This will help us to know how many entries to expect. For creators who have registered, you will be allowed 7 more days after the deadline to complete your videos and get them uploaded to the server. After May 9th no more submissions will be accepted.

Bumpers, Logos and Credits Restrictions:

Because we will be creating custom bumpers to identify and credit each video before they play, we’ve asked that you remove all bumpers, logos, credits, or teaser trailers of any kind. (For example: opening or ending clips with their own unique soundtrack separate from the main “music video.”)

However, if your video incorporates your studio name/logo and video title within the main body of the AMV, as a “creative” choice ... this will not disqualify your video from being judged. Ideally, we would like it if you can re-edit your video to remove any identifiers. But if re-editing is impossible (such as no longer having the project and media files), you can still enter it.
