Not if you entered without planning to attend, it's not. :P

(Not that I entered at all this year, but I did in 2005.)

To me it seems that some people are thinking they will do the decible thing immediately following each video, to hear the applause after the video. Honestly, why would anyone do that? Most likely they will to a recap list of the videos and ask for applause then, to get a more accurate result (more accurate, not necessarily very accurate). I have to agree that I would prefer to have an on-site award showing after the screening rather than results post-con.

I really like the cell phone idea. For anybody who does know how, they can have a "how to text message" seminar before the amv contest starts, lol. Or how about a scantron thing? If you have a machine it can count them all pretty dang quickly. I dont want to sound like I'm bitching about the way it's going to work this year, but personally I'm a really quiet guy and I dont think that thing could read me if I were the only person in the room clapping, lol. Oh well, chances I'd even make it are obismal (sp) anyways. Anybody know how soon we'll find out? If they wait any longer I'll be at AX, lol.

That's a pretty good guess to start with

With less than one week to go before Anime Expo I now figure that we'll know who is in the finals when they play onscreen. . .

. . .if they play onscreen.

Then how would we know to get the 2 tickets or not?

as long as you have at least one video entered that wasn't disqualified, regardless of whether you make the list or not, you are supposed to get 2 creator tickets.
