Re: Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Finally watched the movie, I wanted to hold off for the Blu-ray.
So well...
I don't know what to say, it just totally blew me away. 10/10

Do I need to watch the 2nd season to understand anything in particular in the movie, or am I good to go just knowing who the characters are? I really don't feel like sitting through the Endless Eight

Yeah, you definitely need to watch the second season. Almost everything in the movie revolves around events that happened in the second season. If you don't want to wacth all of endless 8, just watch the first, second and last repeat (the other 5 repeats are just trolls).kenisama wrote:Do I need to watch the 2nd season to understand anything in particular in the movie, or am I good to go just knowing who the characters are? Noticed something today...
Haruhi: "but no alcohol though, I've sworn never to drink again!"
...she drank to begin with? WHY DON'T WE GET TO SEE THIS.
(Light novel vol 11 "The Drunken Stupor of Suzumiya Haruhi")

Re: Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
I think that she was talking about "Remote Island Syndrome" (light novel 3, episodes 9-10). In the anime, it only showed everybody playing games and having fun. But in the light novel, it says that everybody but Nagato got shitface drunk. Apparently Nagato is immune to its effects. And Koizumi said that, Haruhi and Kyon "engaged in some sort of disgraceful behavior". And because of it, Haruhi said that she would stop drinking wine. Although Kyon passed out and doesn't have any memory of it, Haruhi clearly does .ZephyrStar wrote:Noticed something today...
