Winter Sonata: The Animation

Based on the Korean drama television series about the love between two childhood friends and the tragic events that happen.
Episode 0 is out subbed online so far (I just finished watching it.) This episode did not hook me in as much as I thought, but it still intrigues me greatly. 26 episodes for it, too, so I'll probably stick with it.
It was different hearing it in its original Korean form (even more so with the constant fluctuating of Korean and English in the first 10 minutes or so) but it doesn't take a lot of time to get used to. =)
This series seems like it has a lot of the potential. The animation is just gorgeous. <3

Whoa, seems a little harsh, don't you think? 0_0;; You don't like Korean anime? Is there a difference? xD;; I've never watched something in Korean, so I wouldn't exactly know of any generic plots for it if there are any. o_0

Honestly don't care if it's Korean or Japanese.

But yeah, anyhow. I'll be following this series as well. The first episode was really boring, but the animation is really wonderful.

At first it started off rather boring, but lately I think it has evolved and become more interesting. Animation is great as usual. I can see it as a great drama/romance source in the future. You don't get much of these.

Thanks for the revival! I was JUST going to post in this topic once I found out that episode 5 had come out subbed. xD
Within the first 3 episodes, I had a feeling that the story was generally going to be cute and it needed a little bit of a shove in the right direction for the later episodes. Episode 4's ending was a little too sudden, which I didn't like so much, but episode 5 broke the chain. Episode 5 was just so great to me!
Now I need to find some way to get that, "First" song on my iPod. o_- :'D

I actually got the songs from the original Korean live action drama. Nice soundtrack, imo.

But yes, very interesting series indeed. I like it more as each episode passes. Probably the only good romance/drama series that's running right now, though I still have to see Nodame Cantabile...

Some more progress in the story now. But Che-lin remains quite the annoying rival ):
