This is like crybaby boy version of Kobato but with a twist of fantasy and a much more earlier on aparant deep plot in the works. Starts off a bit slow, giving you some back info on the boy as a little kid's first meeting with Gauche, but then time skips in eps 2-3ish to when he is 12 years old, where things realy start taking off.
Each episode has its aww moments, kinda like Kobato, since the boy's "kudan" as I think they call it, allows him to read the thoughts and "heart" in a letter or object and make it visible, if he shoots it. so theres alot of those helping people out while doing his job thing like kobato, and alot of likable characters. He'll, who can't like Niche, a cute sword for hair weilding dragon like mythical creature girl called a "maka"
who refuses to wear pants
(until lag convinces her otherwise, but she'll only wear the ones lag gave her, theres quite lot of humor moments around that) oh and did I mention with the sorta tsundere like personality of Louise/shana/Taiga, etc? well not exactly, but similar.... shes actually not realy tsundere to lag, shes more frank and often lacks common sense, I guess a more accurate comparison would be a slightly more naive, version of Senjougahara from Bakemonogatari, or Kyoka from Kyouran Kazoku Niki. The voice actor Ayumi Fujimura also plays Kyoka actually according to ANN, so makes sense they'd be similar ;p
Anyway, so far its been getting quite interesting story wise, while also developing characters nicely. Though it does have its moments, this is not big on action. but if you like a good story with lots of aww moments, and can put up with Lag being a crybaby half the time,

this show may be worth checking out, if not just for the Niche badassetry ;p
