I know this song is 'overdone' when it comes to AMVs.. but I started this video 6 months ago (before it was overplayed on radio, TV, etc) And I finally finished it the other day

I wasn't going to upload it to a-m-v.org.. mostly because I know I'll get a million people complaining about the quality of my footage.. and people here always have a way of making me feel like Im sub-par to what they expect... but I decided to upload it anyway.

My main goal is to entertain you for the next 4 minutes.. I hope I did a good job of it. ;D
And I hope the 'preview' of the video kicks in soon...

i'm sorry but i am gonna complain about the quality. what compressor did you use?

A really crappy compressor apparently lol I never know what settings to use or which compressor to use with what codecs. Im so dumb when it comes to quality control ;(

LOVED it.

Let me get the bad out of the way first.

1) Visual quality [eeek....]
2) Wrong AR [Several...]
3) The opening I wished had more beat sync and less black fades.

After all that though..

BEAUTIFUL!

The sync was just AMAZING. The mix of the guy singing with the acutal video, and then you had all the ZOMGGASM moments from tons of different anime, matching the music and flow and the mood of the source and anime... Oh.. It was just spectacular to say the least!

Also, the little things in the video that just made it adorable were the addition of the manga collection and the Haurhi figurine, making it look like the guy was an otaku. Ha! That was just adorable.

I would have never thought in a millions years to edit it like this, mostly because I've only ever considered editing this with spacey anime and lots of twinkling stars and stuff.

The mix worked insanely well together, and it has your editing style written all over it!

4/5 [Would be 5/5, but the technical issues are kind of hard to ignore in this one. xD]

HAHA I thought no one would ever notice the subliminal anime moments that I put in there
When I first started making this I wanted to put a lot of figurines/manga covers into the 'original video footage'
The original video has a lot of toys and such in it.. but I thought it would look too cheesy if I put too much anime incorporation into the original video lol
I still have a LOT to learn about compression. I guess I can try to re-compress in a bunch of different ways and pick the best one and then re-upload

I downloaded MSU Lossless codec and now Im running it through VirtualDub so hopefully this will work xD
