First full amv in over a year, decided to go with my own original story for this one, like it/hate it etc. whatever..

Honestly, it is deeply amazing me how you don't seem to be able to notice how the scenes are utterly stretched.

They dont look stretched to me...Ive seen stuff when its stretch before and it looks nothing like this. Plus Im pretty sure there was nothing wrong I did to make it look stretched.

You're not giving any logical explanation as to why they looked stretched, other than "to you" it appears stretched. How bout a comparison ?

Apparently not all scenes are stretched, but many are. I really don't have a clue what you did, but here is the comparism you wished for:

Weird, I didn't see any stretching. He did get the AR right, he just used a different frame size than 848x480. The video was good, I don't see many videos that use an original story so it was different for me, and I thought that some of crossfades should have been hard cuts but overall, I liked it

Frame size has nothing to do with Aspect Ratio.
720x480 can be BOTH 4:3 or 16:9, depending on how it stretches *during playback*, as determined by the AR flag.
That's how DVD's work.

Widescreen=16:9=16/9=1.777777 example: 512x288 during playback
Fullscreen=4:3=4/3=1.33333 example: 768x576 during playback

but DVD's are 720/480=1.5000 which is clearly not 16:9 or 4:3 and proves that DVD footage must be stretched.

It looks to me like the footage was left at 720x480 (which is not correct, as pointed out above) and then the top and bottom were cropped off, then squeezed to 640x360.
Any time you crop footage, you know you are doing something wrong, (unless you are just removing borders)

Anyways, I don't like posting technical stuff in the announcement forums, but sometimes I just have to.
Let me know if any of this is starting to make sense or needs clarification.

oh, and the video was alright, just not my cup of tea.
