Golgo 13 AMV - "The Casing's Gleam"
Salutations, one and all.
I've recently grown very fond of Golgo 13, after being introduced to him through the Viz Signature "Best of..." manga series - while they can just be simple 'hit of the week' affairs, some stories are quite thoughtful and show a surprising amount of depth and perceptiveness - powers of observation that a sniper might himself appreciate! The Golgo 13 manga is a veritable industry in itself - the legendary assassin's adventures have been in continuous publication for forty years and have had all manner of spin-offs from merchandising to live-action films - and, inevitably, anime. Takao Saito laid the groundwork for Golgo 13 when he was adapting James Bond 007 novels into mangas, and so I felt that an appropriate homage would be found in a classic Bond theme, and in introducing the very first AMV to be based on the Golgo 13 television series (broadcast last year and produced by the Answer Studio) to this site.
Enjoy! Comments & critcicsm are, as always, warmly appreciated.

Very straight-forward concept, easy to understand
I enjoyed it for its lyric sync, simple editing, and good atmosphere [like at 1:48 for example]
That being said, this amv could benefit from technical improvements; I suggest a higher Resolution. Crop your Letterboxes. Crop the Logo in top right corner. Compress your video to x264 not XviD. Compress your audio (currently you have large PCM audio taking up 32MB of file space) [Read ErMaC & AbsoluteDestiny's Friendly AMV Guides for help with these things... it's very long, but covers almost everything] And the intro/outro were a bit long and unnecessary.
I'll leave you with this:

Pun aside, Yay for oldschool anime
and Good First Video.

Thanks for taking the time to comment, Phantasmagoriat, it's much appreciated.
I appreciate what you're saying with the overlong intro - truth be told, I'm getting sick of the wait before the action myself. I'll be avoiding that in future AMVs, and put the credits at the end.
I also welcome the technical advice; this was a very basic production - I really am just starting out in this business. The clips were ripped directly with Fraps and assembled with Windows Movie Maker, and I just followed the advice in the Fraps help file about compression. I'll be doing the same for one more AMV, mainly because it's already mostly complete, but I'll endeavour to use more sophisticated techniques in later ones.
Thanks again for your interest!
