GetBackers AMV (yaoi)

Post by rpm77 » Sat Jan 03, 2009 2:48 pm

This is my fourth amv, and the first time I've ever worked with Premiere (my prev three were made with Windows Movie Maker). It's also my second attempt at a GetBackers vid, so woot!

Ban > Akabane

I don't approve of the message of this video at all :nono:

Well if you really enjoy doing your own plots and twists from the original storyline you might wanna consider switching to Sony Vegas instead of Premiere since it's a lot easier to work with Mask-Effects and general Image Manipulation there. You didn't yet use any of that so your story isn't very clear and the whole thing looks way too amateurish. There's potential there though, keep working on it.

LOL, I think this was hilarious!

Nice job with only a few effects; the simple editing worked quite well. Great job keeping it lively and using beats throughout most of it. Missed a few parts that coulda used more punch, but you definitely got the majority. Great lyric sync for many scenes, great scene choices that made me chuckle for many parts. The effects you did use were pretty subtle and didn't detract from the video, so you did well controlling yourself on your first Premiere-using project. Other vids might benefit from experimenting, but this one was fine as it was in that regard, in my opinion.

Just lively, fun, and oh so silly. I got the story just fine since you did well changing how Ginji reacted to the "advances" throughout in a linear fashion.

Excellent work, and work you did indeed put in. Coulda been perfected, but it was still lotsa fun to watch and I'll rewatch whenever I need to chuckle. 4.6/5. ^_^

Akabane pwns.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm actually not really sure what masking is. When I think of the word I think of paneling, or layering effects that takes a piece of the background out so the layer underneath can show through. I did do a little bit of the latter in this vid, but I'm sorry if the story was hard to follow.

Haha, thanks. I was going for yaoi crack fun, so if it made ya laugh, I did something right. ;) I do plan to do some experimenting in Premiere, and thank you for your encouragement. :)
