Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Sorry for the crappy banner, gimp is on the fritz

This is probably the quickest I've ever edited an amv, spending only a week on it, but I think it turned out quite well. In it, I focused more on mood and internal sync, however, this is probably fairly generic as far as drama amvs go, But I think the Epic music also adds quite a bit. (Which as far as I can tell hasn't been used on the .org before)

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it.

Since I like what I saw so far, I want to give you some input, maybe you will work on this AMV some more and make it really outstanding.

I liked this unique song, first song in german which really fits an AMV/Anime. I liked especially the first part till 1:20 which was very good mood synced (which I do not recognize often because I like beat sync much more.). But the part from 1:20 on was totally with a bad offset (cuts did not match well). I think you need harder cuts which are better timed, then it would be good. You shouldn't spoil also, so maybe you should avoid scenes where the viewer can see what it is that explodes, or the explosion at all. Even the flight scenes are a spoiler, but that's not as bad. I think. You have to use any material after all, nee? ^^

This is one of the few AMV which are not action/dance genre and I liked, so you really should work on it once more. Maybe you want to use After Effects and change the mood on some scenes to fit the song better.

Thanks alot for your input.

I don't really agree with you about the "spoiling" thing though, scenes in Sayuri's dreams have the plane flying from fairly early on in the movie. Also, I didn't even show the tower being destroyed, that was it activating for the first time (which also happened in the first half of the movie.)

However, I do have to agree about the beat sync thing, guess I kinda slacked off. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
