The Radiance Of Macross [Has Been Released]

Post by TwilightChrono » Wed Jun 11, 2008 6:00 pm

Here is the link:

In this AMV, I focused on the wonderful colors in this one particular Anime. I focused more on Lip Sync than I did actual beat sync...although, the beat sync is present. I tried to keep with the traditional feel of Macross, A.K.A. The concerts going on while the battle rages. I hope I did a good job in the eyes of all the hardcore Macross fans out there. In terms of story, it's more about Ranka and Alto than anything else. Well, I hope you all enjoy.

Below average. Much more work on every type of sync needed. Video quality was awful and oversharpened.

Were you even paying attention at all during the video? The Lip Sync was spot on, not a damn thing wrong with it. I focused more on Lip Sync rather than beat sync. If you watched this video for effects and what not, you came to the wrong thread buddy. YOu talk as if the video had no work put into it at all.

Whoa man, he was just trying to give you some constructive critisism. Not every video is flawless. Every video is going to have issues regardless.

I'll check it out though.

So sure? Damn, did you yourself watch your lipsync?
3:04 - no words in the song, but we see some nice flappinng mouth. The lipsync after that is also out of place. It's only one example.

Any other excuses?

Did I say a word about effects?

Some of your cuts are like 4-5 seconds long. I don't see much attempts to sync the video with either beats or melody or anything else. Except lipsync, but it wasn't well executed.

Hey... I actually liked this video. :O

I liked the original footage chosen, I loved the song and I loved *most* of the sync in the video. I felt it was kind of original too. :O

Lip sync was not amazing. It definitly needed some serious work to make it perfect. The mouth/cheek muscles didn't match the vocal words at times, and I find it strange to watch. It wasn't as bad as some attempts I've seen, but it was kind of an average lip sync.

Video quality needed some work. It looked either over or under filtered, I couldn't tell which. Either way, it was kind of a distraction.

Overall, it's a pretty average video. Nothing too eye candyish but nothing too horible either.

I'm all for constructive Criticism. But, sometimes, lip flapping where there are no words...can't be helped. And last time I checked, there wasn't a rule that says, characters can't move their mouths when there are no words being said in the song. I thank you for your input, but you could be more understanding and open minded when reviewing someones AMV. And what you said to me the first time really wasn't constructive criticism. Although, I guess it could be considered that, it seemed to me more like a flame than anything.

Thanks for going to check out my vid. I never said my video was perfect or flawless, and I understand that there is gonna be something wrong with every video made, no exceptions. But, I expect helpful advice back for the videos I make, not people flaming the video to hell and back. Which is why I responded a little harshly to Lirinis.

You understand where I am coming from right?
