FireFlight song to VanDread (fixed link)

My first AMV, made to the show that got me hooked in the first place: VanDread. What's amazing to me is that it was an AMV for one of my favorite bands (Nightwish) that was done to VanDread that intrigued me and convinced me to purchase the VD DVDs.

Just giving back because someone else's AMV was important to me!

I used IMTOO DVDRipper to rip the videos straight to AVI (solved some keyframe problems I was having from using SmartRipper), then searched YouTube for some instructional videos on using JahShaka until I had enough information to be able to do some basic editing. Now I need to find some YouTube vids on effects in Jah.

Hope you enjoy...as the author I only see the flaws, but I'm glad I finished it.

Ripping and chopping time: 3 hours ("Chopping" to me means cutting out specific clips that I knew I would want to use)
Compilation time: 5 hours.

I imagine that it will get shorter as I get more comfortable with it, and yet get longer as I actually start doing effects and transitions.

Concept? CONCEPT??!?

For my first AMV, I was lucky to vaguely sync some action with music, let alone follow a concept

Buuut, my failed concept (I know it failed, because what I wanted and what I got are two different things) was to highlight the lyrics "you decide" (which in the song is a Christian choice...choose God or self) with clips surrounding Hibiki's choice between Dita, Maya and Jura. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the clips I wanted to support this as well as I wanted (and didn't yet have the skill nor patience to edit what I had to get them) so this concept didn't come through like I had hoped.
