Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Your scenes were twitchy alot at times...you had alot of interlacing. Quite abit of lip flap. I personally did not like most of the transitions used. The vid was a tad too long for me. But I have to admit your vid had afew good moments scene selection wise. Your sync was off a bit at times though. You chose the right song, the vid needs to be polished up more. Go for the guides http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/avtech/

You had some decent sync. I think the concept was good, and that the song and the anime could be made to match. I don't think you quite made it.

Most of the effects were entirely unnecessary, and just flat out wrong for a drama vid. If you had been making a dance vid, I could have seen the use for some of them. Others were stock, obviously so, and are never acceptable outside of a middle school project (the page flip comes immediately to mind).

You also had interlacing and macroblocking out the wazoo. I can stand the latter, but the former was really annoying, especially as my media player couldn't handle every example of inter lacing in the vid. Mainly because...

Aspect Ratio! This is a 4:3 source and so all of the clips should be in 4:3. Some of the sequences are letterboxed as well, making adjusting through a media player all but impossible. 720x480 is NOT 4:3 or 16:9, the two average aspect ratios to be found in the AMV community (although there are a few valid others). You need all the footage in this video to correspond to 640x480 without letterboxing.

(if you forget one, you can edit your post) It is unfair to those who spend months on making a video if someone makes 10 new announce threads and monopolizes the front page of the Announcement forum.
