AWA Pro Nominee (Paradise Kiss) & AWA Panel Vid (Haruhi)

Got two new videos up (AWA Iron Editor video's not available yet, sorry!). One is my Paradise Kiss video which was nominated for Best Drama, Best Romance, and Best Technical in the AWA Pro contest. Oooh, luverly.

The next video is a little something I randomly whipped up last minute for my, VegettoEX's, and gambitt's panel at AWA.

There are two encodes available for each video (Xvid & H.264). Please enjoy!

The Paradise Kiss video felt like a bit too much of an ordinary generic romance video with more effects than usual applied to it. But since every HDD can need a generic romance video once in a while it was still good enough to stay on mine ;> I overall enjoyed it and the anime choice was pretty original as well.

Now, the Haruhi video was really great. It wasn't as hyper as most Haruhi videos and yet it didn't feel like it was forcing a different feeling from the series, you still managed to profile the show without changing too much of the original mood and even though the most overused scenes were still in your video too it didn't annoy me as much as it usually does since you also used a lot of scenes I hadn't seen before.

So good job

This looked very convincing to me. I haven't seen the series but I must admitt it looks pretty intersting and the video flowed very well with the song, which is also very appealing to me. Indeed this is the best AWA video I've seen up to this point. The Editing was a bit overdriven actually, I didn't like the 3D Tunnels since I've seen that in a couple of videos already and I don't really see why it should be there if it's just for the showoff it kind of missed the effect on me. Still the rest of the editing was very fitting and I enjoyed the video alot.

/still needs to get the Haruhi vid, but is on a bit of a Haruhi overload

I liked the Haruhi video better actually.

The Paradise Kiss video was too much focused on the effects and they weren't so visually impressive, at least for me. If there was any emotional connection, it was lost :/ But it flowed on quite smoothly. Gotta appreciate that

The Haruhi video was timed well and you hit the beats well (especially the fast drum sets) but the clip selection was like Haruhi-Haruhi-Haruhi-Haruhi-Haruhi-Haruhi-Haruhi-Haruhi-Haruhi-Haruhi-Haruhi-Haruhi-Haruhi-Haruhi-Haruhi-Haruhi... Too linear you know
