  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

My New Dramatic Video

Post by Crucifixjel » Thu Aug 16, 2007 6:46 pm

Hey, here's my latest dramatic video and I got good reviews on by "red drake kai".

It's a amv made from the most saddest anime I've ever watched, "Kanon (2006)". I believe my strongest point in this amv is the story telling. Then the syncing is second. My third is just the type of video it is.

I liked Kanon.. But Kelly Clarkson.. Well, I'll download it, still ;)

EDIT:
Woohoo, that wasn't bad :D I liked your use of overlays. They went with the flow so well, and matched the song and what was going on in the video. Actually, "what was going on in the video" was nice too. You captured Makoto's character pretty well actually, despite the fact this propably doesn't make any sense at all to a person who hasn't seen Kanon. Try to keep it more solid next time.. I don't quite get your song choice, but it was quite well captured.

The sync needs some work as always. You should match better with the lyrics or the beat or whatever it is you're trying to sync to. Because, while the flow of this video was pretty smooth, there were cuts and transitions that didn't really sync to anything. Annoyingly lot.. And, the lip sync.. You should do it better :D

Too bad Makoto annoyed the hell out of me when I was watching the anime. I would have liked your video better, propably, if I had liked her. Also, the song doesn't really get me at all.. But overall, nice video. And the quality was pretty decent as well, even though it's wmv. I suggest reading the guides available here on the org for better video and sound quality (yeah, the audio quality needed more work)

I can't decide my rating.. 3.75/5?

I'm wondering how you used VLC Media Player to make this video...

I thank you for critiquing my work. I'm doing better on my AMV since my last ones like Air Gear, since I received a nearly 4/5. Oh and for VLC Player, I used it to watch it...haha...should I even include unnecessary info?
