Speed Of Sound - FFX music video

Post by Meo_Anderson » Tue Jun 26, 2007 10:31 am

Hi there, first post! :D

Last month I made this small AMV for a video class, as an university work. Since this was my first (and only, so far) experience in Adobe Premiere 2.0, I was hoping to see what you guys think about it! Criticism and suggestions are welcome! :D

Cheers!!

vid quality was meh. sync was not there, that I saw, except during the clips of the guy singing. and it looks like you threw random clips on the timeline, very little seems to match up to the song.

Indeed. That's because the original file had 1.10 GB, and I converted it to match a similar size of the window on youtub and to be less than 100 MB... As I said, this was the first time I tried the program, and the first time I dealt with compressing video.

Well... The footage of FFX IS synced with the audio (mostly, but I do reckon there are some scenes which could have been tweaked/replaced). Also, the beginning had a cross fade problem that I only saw to late. As I said, first time I used it... I shown it to some people and all of them didn't think it was to bad... But then again, it is your opinion, and it is welcome like any other, as I'm here to learn from my mistakes. :)

compress the audio... its PCM, try using Lame mp3 compression... but im downloading

*edit*

ok, watched it, the quality and sync was off, there was no mood/feel to the video. basically it looked like semi-random scenes put to the music. there were some scenes that were pretty good, but for the most part, there were too many filler scenes. for your first is isnt that bad, but it could use some work. Also adding in the real video didnt work in your favor here. maby in some amvs it may work, but not here. sorry, but i didnt care too much about it.
