Fate of Angels (Sailor Moon & System of a Down)

Post by Garylisk » Wed Mar 28, 2007 7:02 pm

I have completed my first stand-alone AMV in 3 years. I hope you all enjoy it.

Anime: Sailor Moon
Music: Chop Suey! by System of a Down

From the video description page:
I started work on this AMV roughly 3 years ago. That doesn't mean I've been working on it for 3 years.

What it means is that I am incredibly lazy. ;)

The concept of the video is a simple storytelling experience of the struggle against Queen Beryl at the end of season 1 of Sailor Moon. The song should show the age of the video idea, as I doubt there's many recent videos that use it.

As with most of my AMVs, it's more of an old school style, so you shouldn't get your hopes up for mind-bending effects with colors and moving boxes and such - I don't generally do such things.

What you can expect is a (hopefully) solid AMV.

I hope you enjoy it.

That's all that really can be said.

Not too bad Gary. Though the part where Sailor Venus is getting stabbed by the tentacle things while the lyrics screamed "DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" really made me laugh for some reason.

This video isn't just 'old school style', it IS old school. :P

Ah, the nostalgia!

probably one of the most enjoyable Sailor Moon vids I seen recently. I just love the old school, reminds me of my old kazaa days.

I dug this amv, but I just wished that you would have included more of Season one than the last few eps.

Very nice. I say this based on what I saw. I didn't see the whole thing yet because I'm doing other things for now, but from what I saw, it looked better looking than 90% sailor moon videos that I've seen with visual quality.

Crazy, on crack editing. I would like it to sync in a different way on most parts. That just means I think it could be better, which doesn't mean I didn't like the editing, just I think I'd enjoy it more if editing here and there was done differently.

Edit: I just finished watching it. A lot of editing errors as some have said.

I don't think the song fit well with the clips you used. You matched some of the lyrics slightly in some areas. That's it.. cool fast action scenes and that is what the song calls for in a video using it. Nothing special.

3/5
