Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Marine Land

Post by Haunter103 » Sun Dec 03, 2006 7:40 pm

I wasn't going to upload it, but it won some awards at AC^3, so I felt obligated :\ (AC^3 didn't appear on the list of conventions while entering the video info for some reason btw)
So for all the One Piece fans who will actually get the humour, and all my fellow Canadians (but mostly the ones in Ontario) who will recognize and love it purely for the reference to the audio source (like it seems the AC^3 judges did), here: Marine Land

While I'm announcing things, I might as well make a side note in this thread about the fact I decided to go ahead and make some Direct Download links for the Local and CORN versions of my Don't Put It In Your Mouth video I released awhile back. Just for the sake of doing so really, plus now you can check out the Corn (aka Convention) version for interest sake. Special thanks to IcyCloud (AquaSky) for graciously providing the corn :D

Isn't Marine Land pretty much just SeaWorld with ice?

Dammit. I haven't watched TV in over 4 years, and I still laughed my ass off at this.

I think every Ontario resident has this jingle hammered into their head at a subconscious and even sub-subconscious level.

That said, it probably takes an Ontario resident to really get the full effect of this one!

PS - been to Marineland, and if there's an AMV trip, I want in. Hell, as a former Niagara area resident, I could claim to be a guide
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

the place i grew up had a "Marine World" it went through many stages such as "Marine World, Africa, USA" (it used to be just an animal park) and "The Marine World Theme Park" (when the city owned it and put in two rollar coasters) and is now a "Six Flags Marine World" (O.o now the shows/rides scare the animals as well as intermingle with them)

They had shows way back when it was still called Africa USA, and even a few rides (though not very big ones) iirc.
