Young, Dumb and Cromartie(my first AMV)

Post by NUKE MAYHEM » Sat Jun 24, 2006 9:59 am

Anime: Cromartie High School
Singer: Wierd Al Yankovic
Song: "Young, Dumb and Ugly"

This is my very first AMV(so please be gentle on the insults :p). I figured this anime and song go together like Bevis and Buttheard. So after I got my new computer with Adobe Premiere Pro on it(a friend gave me his old computer), and got the whole series on DVD, I began making it. I tried to capture some of the series randomness, while have most of the scenes relate to the words of the song. I also tried a little lip syncing near the end(the scene of the up-close mouth with nose-hairs). Hope you like it. :D

Actually I had trouble getting the file uploaded because to was to big (964 MBs or something), but after some tinkering in Adobe Premier Pro, I finally got it's file-size down and still keep it's size-quality.

I enjoyed it, especially parts where the on-screen text was altered for the video. XD Owned.

My only question is, why the boxed-in look? Why not crop the thing down so that the video takes up the whole frame?

That was a problem I had when I burned the footage from my DVDs. It gave me wide screen bars for some reason, and when I try adjusting the settings to make it fill the screen, the video looked out proportion. Also, this is my very first AMV, and the last time I used Adobe Premier Pro before making this AMV was at a college class several years back. I'll see if I can learn the crop feature on my next AMV(when I figure what it's gonna be. :p).
